The Queen Ethelburga’s College is one of the best private schools in England. It’s well known for the high quality of its facilities. We chose the Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate for our Junior Summer School because of it comprises four schools and a kindergarten, each with its own unique qualities, but all sharing a common purpose of providing students with a first class education and the opportunity to work towards higher education and a successful career. There are strong academic standards across the Foundation and students are encouraged to have high expectations for themselves and their future career prospects.
There is a wide range of facilities available, which enable students to enjoy themselves after class. Studying English is not only about learning in class from books, here you can also learn while making new friends from all over the world. We are giving to all our Junior Summer school students the great opportunity to get to know people from a wide variety of countries. We have exclusively selected great accommodation for our junior students. At the Queen Ethelburga´s College students will have access to new furbished areas where they can socialize and make friends from all over the world after their English lessons.
Every boarding bedroom is provided with an en-suite bathroom, direct-dial phone and voice mail, timer controlled plasma 32 inch TV / DVD complete with a Sony Play Station, a mini-kitchen with fridge and a heated towel rail and fan. Rooms are cleaned daily. Kitchens and living rooms are shared with other students on the same floor.
The building and grounds have many facilities including:
- 4 lounges with comfortable leather suites and fully equipped kitchens and dishwashers.
- Pool tables, numerous Sony Playstation Threees and computers.
- Washing machines, tumbledryers, ironing boards and a trouser press
- Multi-region DVD players, large televisions and video players.
- Bedroom en-suite – bedrooms can accommodate 2 to 4 children depending on age.

London, Manchester and Liverpool are the three main cities where our students will discover the ancient English culture every Saturday in our weekly trips.
Discover London visiting the city in a boat trip on the Thames, visit the Theatre of Dreams in Manchester or come to discover the stunning history of Liverpool in one day trips.
